Psychology, psychiatry, coaching and high performance services for children, adolescents and adults.

Psychology, Psychiatry, Coaching and High Performance Services

BeWell is a boutique mental health practice in Nedlands offering warm, professional care in person and via telehealth across Western Australia and Australia. Our psychologists and psychiatrists work with children, adolescents and adults across four areas: evidence-based therapy, ADHD and ASD coaching, high performance psychology for people who want to perform at their best under pressure, and psychiatry for expert support with medication initiation, review and ongoing management – in a collaborative care model that hands care back to your GP when it is clinically appropriate.

Whatever brings you to us, our approach is the same – practical, collaborative and grounded in evidence, with a focus on what will actually make a difference in your life.

Psychological Therapy

Our team of psychologists provide evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents and adults, both in person at our Nedlands rooms and via telehealth.

We help people with the full range of life's challenges – anxiety, depression and low mood, stress and burnout, trauma, grief and loss, OCD, ADHD and neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, and the big and small transitions that can knock anyone off course. Sessions are a space to build the skills you need to manage what is in front of you now, while also making sense of how your experiences have shaped the way you think, feel and connect – with others, with your environment and with yourself.

Medicare rebates are available with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. We also welcome self-referrals, private health insurance, NDIS participants and other funded clients. See our Fees and Rebates page for details.

ADHD and ASD Coaching

ADHD and ASD coaching is practical, forward-looking support for adolescents and adults living with ADHD or autism – whether you are newly diagnosed or have been managing it for years. Where therapy focuses on emotional wellbeing, coaching focuses on the everyday: building routines and systems that actually stick, managing time, attention and energy, navigating social situations with confidence, following through on the things that matter to you, and taking the friction out of school, university, work and home.
  • Planning, prioritising and getting started
  • Time management and managing deadlines
  • Organisation at home, school and work
  • Social skills, communication and relationships
  • Confidence and self-advocacy
  • Emotional regulation and managing overwhelm
  • Study skills and exam preparation
  • Workplace strategies and conversations about adjustments
  • Building self-understanding after a diagnosis
Medicare rebates may apply when coaching is delivered by one of our psychologists under a Mental Health Treatment Plan; coaching with our ADHD coaches who are not psychologists is not covered by Medicare. NDIS participants may be able to use capacity-building funding – see Fees and Rebates.

High Performance Psychology

Performing well when it counts is a skill, and like any skill it can be developed. We work with athletes, coaches, teams, executives, performers and students who want to think clearly, manage pressure and get the most out of their preparation and their talent.

Our high performance work draws on more than 25 years in elite sport and high-stakes environments, including the Australian Institute of Sport, the Western Australian Institute of Sport and the West Coast Eagles. It is evidence-based, pragmatic and tailored to the demands of your sport, role or season.

Areas of focus
  • Performance under pressure, confidence and composure
  • Focus, attention and routines
  • Motivation, goal-setting and resilience
  • Injury, setbacks and transitions
  • Leadership, team culture and communication
  • Wellbeing and sustainable performance for high performers
Available for individuals, teams and organisations, in person or via telehealth.

“Kellie’s honest and direct communication style made working together easy, and everything was delivered within the agreed, tight timeframe. The process was clear and well organised from start to finish, and I enjoyed working with her.”

Psychiatry

Our consultant psychiatrists provide expert assessment, medication initiation, review and ongoing management for children, adolescents and adults. They work alongside our psychologists, so that therapy, coaching and medical treatment pull in the same direction, and with your GP through shared care.

A collaborative care model. We believe specialist care should be accessible and affordable. Once your diagnosis is clear and your treatment is established and stable, and where it is clinically appropriate, our psychiatrist hands day-to-day management back to your GP under a shared care plan – with a clear written plan, and our psychiatrist available for review if your needs change. For you, that means fewer specialist appointments, lower ongoing cost and care that stays close to home. For GPs, it means a specialist who is easy to reach and who refers back.

Psychiatry appointments require a referral from your GP, which also means a Medicare rebate applies.
