MediGroup Privacy Policy
This privacy policy sets out how MediGroup Pty Ltd (“MediGroup”) uses and protects Personal Information that you provide when you use MediGroup’s Services and its website (“Privacy Policy”).
MediGroup is committed to providing quality services and this Privacy Policy outlines MediGroup’s ongoing obligations to you in respect of how it manages your Personal Information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”).

- MediGroup provides recruitment services for medical practitioners, allied health professionals and other staff (“Services”). MediGroup’s primary goal in collecting Personal Information is to enable it to conduct business, provide and market its Services and to improve any features and content of the Services.
- MediGroup only collects Personal Information that is necessary for one or more of MediGroup’s Services and it is only collected by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.
- The kind of Personal Information that MediGroup collects from you will depend on how you use the website and MediGroup’s Services, it may include:
- personal contact information such as your name, address, phone number and email address;
- information about your personality;
- information about your skills, qualifications, experience, career path, work entitlement and ability to undertake specific types of work;
- information about performance, conduct, incidents and absences due to leave, illness or other causes in the workplace;
- credit history reports, criminal history records and working with children checks;
- financial information, Tax File Number, ABN or any relevant payrolling information and billing information, such as your bank account or credit card number, for the purpose of making or receiving payment;

- information about professional and client relationship;
- job details, including information about descriptions of roles, team details and management structures;
- other information provided by health services, medical practitioners, allied health professionals or any referees of those persons, in connection with enquiries about the Services; and
- any other information as may be necessary for MediGroup to collect to provide the Services.
2. How Personal Information is Collected
- MediGroup may collect Personal Information from you whenever you input such information into the Website.
- MediGroup may also information collected through the use of information-gathering tools on our Website such as cookies and web beacons.
3. Use of Information Collected
- MediGroup collects Personal Information reasonably necessary to carry out our business, to assess and manage our clients' needs, and provide the Services.
- MediGroup may also collect Personal Information to fulfil managerial and administrative functions associated with the Services, for example billing, entering into contracts with you or third parties and managing client relationships.
- The purposes for which MediGroup typically collect and use Personal Information depends on the nature of your interaction with us, but may include:
- Delivering content to you based on your expressed preferences and inferred interests;
- Determining the composition of and engage MediGroup’s user base and to analyse how the Services are being used more generally;
- Providing advertising that is relevant to our users and their interests;

If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications, you will be provided with an option to opt-out at any time. If you opt-out of receiving direct marketing material from us, MediGroup may still contact you in relation to its ongoing relationship with you.
4. Access to Personal Information
- You may access any of your Personal Information received by MediGroup to update and/or correct it by contacting MediGroup via the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy.
- MediGroup will not charge a standard fee for any request for Personal Information but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information to you.
- MediGroup may request identification from you before releasing any requested Personal Information in order to protect all Personal Information.
5. Security of Personal Information
- All Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. MediGroup do not guarantee that its security measures will fully eliminate all security risks or potential breaches.
- MediGroup will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information when your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose(s) for which it was obtained. Otherwise, all Personal Information will be stored on client file for a minimum of seven (7) years.
6. Maintaining the Quality of Personal Information
- It is important that all Personal Information is up to date and, as such, MediGroup will take all reasonable steps to make sure that Personal Information is accurate, complete and current. Please advise MediGroup as soon as it is practicable if any of your Personal Information is inaccurate and MediGroup will update its records to ensure that it provides the most effective Services.
- MediGroup may also collect Personal Information from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (“ASIC”) databases, national business name databases, electoral rolls, telephone books, other public databases and credit agencies, and other organisations that are required to comply with the Privacy Act. MediGroup takes all reasonable steps to ensure that this Personal Information is correct.
7. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
MediGroup may disclose Personal Information to the following third parties:
- service providers involved in operating MediGroup’s business including third party platforms on which it operates, payment providers, email services providers, content delivery networks, analytics companies and other professionals such as MediGroup’s accountants and lawyers;
- partner companies that MediGroup may, from time to time, jointly offer products or services with. MediGroup does not control its business partners’ use of the collected data, and their use of the information will be in accordance with their respective privacy policies. If you do not wish for your Personal Information to be shared with partner companies, you may opt not to purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly offered product or service;
- contractors that provide information technology and similar services to MediGroup where the provision of Personal Information is reasonably necessary;
- to the public for the disclosure of aggregated user statistics and other information. This information does not include Personal Information and MediGroup may otherwise disclose it for industry analysis, demographic profiling, marketing, and other purposes relating to MediGroup’s Services;

MediGroup’s Services may provide links to third party websites and applications and MediGroup has no control over these websites and applications. As such, MediGroup is not responsible for the protection and privacy of any Personal Information that you provide whilst visiting these third party services. MediGroup advises that you exercise caution and refer to the relevant third party’s privacy policy.
9. Third Party Processors
Our carefully selected partners and service providers may process personal information about you on our behalf, including but not limited to Digital Marketing Service Providers.
We periodically appoint digital marketing agents to conduct marketing activity on our behalf, and such activity may result in the compliant processing of personal information. Our appointed data processors include Prospect Global Ltd (trading as Sopro) Reg. UK Co. 09648733.

10. Overseas Transfer
Your Personal Information may be transferred to recipients located in other jurisdictions. You consent to us transferring your Personal Information to other jurisdictions as may be required during the ordinary course of MediGroup’s business in the knowledge that if your Personal Information is mishandled in that jurisdiction, we disclaim responsibility and you will not have a remedy under Australian law.
